Endourology & Stone Disease
Outcomes of PCNL (standard, mini, super-mini), ureteroscopic stone surgery, and strategies to optimize stone clearance, reduce complications, and adapt minimally invasive techniques to low-resource environments.
Dr. Sumeet Karna is actively involved in clinical research with a focus on urinary stone disease, endourology, pediatric urology, antibiotic resistance (AMR), and rare urological conditions. He has authored and co-authored 16+ peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals, including BMC Infectious Diseases, BMC Urology, the Journal of Nepal Health Research Council, B & B Medical Journal (BBMed) and others.
His research interests include improving outcomes of minimally invasive stone surgery, understanding antibiotic resistance patterns in urinary tract infections, documenting unusual and complex urological cases from resource-limited settings, and gradually integrating technology and AI-assisted methods into clinical research and data analysis.
Outcomes of PCNL (standard, mini, super-mini), ureteroscopic stone surgery, and strategies to optimize stone clearance, reduce complications, and adapt minimally invasive techniques to low-resource environments.
